The Thakkar Family Emergency Pavilion has been dedicated at Simi Valley Hospital.

The Simi Valley Hospital Foundation has announced the addition of three new board members: Anil K. Garg, Eric Little and Nancy Kinsinger.

Garg is the owner of APEX Financial Services, is an active member of the Rotary Club of Simi Valley and was honored by the White House along with other Rotarians for the Champions of Change Program in April 2012. In August 2015, he was awarded with a Humanitarian of the Year recognition by Simi Valley Community Foundation. That same year, Garg received the Rotary International Service Award for a “Polio Free World.” He is serving on the Citizens Advisory Board of Ventura County Community Colleges. Garg and his family are Paul Harris Fellows. He is also a major donor and Bequest Society member.

Little moved to Simi Valley in 2000 and opened what was called a scratch agency. Today, his agency has five team members and serves thousands of households, the majority in Simi Valley. He has a passion for being involved in his community and is a member of the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise, the foundation said in a news release. He is an affiliate member of the Conejo Simi Moorpark Association of Realtors and has been chapter affiliate of the year for the organization.

Kinsinger has been a volunteer at Simi Valley Hospital for more than 30 years. She has served as the president of the Volunteer Guild Board and is on the Hats Off to Women committee. She is also co-president of the United Methodist Church Women’s Club in Simi Valley and is an active member of PEO International, which raises funds for educating women.

“We are honored that Anil, Eric and Nancy have joined our board of directors, and are fortunate to have their cumulative experiences and passion for our community,” said Michelle Foster, president of the foundation.

The foundation fosters community relationships and creates financial support to assist Simi Valley Hospital. The foundation played a major role in funding the hospital’s new patient care tower and purchased more than $1 million in equipment from 2008 to 2010. Since 2010, the foundation has raised $4 million to expand and renovate what is now the Thakkar Family Emergency Pavilion.
